Duties


  • Manages a large business activity. Formulates instructions, directives necessary to operate a fluid, profit generating business activity with a fluctuating customer base.
  • Compares prices, service and environment to comparable restaurants and other food service venues, making recommendations to the Food Service Director.
  • Represents the activity at conferences, to special interest groups and other agencies. Coordinates functions with community, and military representatives. As a second level supervisor reviews the actions of subordinate supervisors.
  • Oversees multiple activities, consisting of several subordinate supervisors. Incumbent responsible for operational control of as many as 30 full, part time and flex NAF positions
  • Selects employees, approves performance evaluations, recommends personnel actions and takes or approves disciplinary actions.

  • The ability to obtain (within first six months employment) maintain a Food Protection Manager Certification acquired through an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) Accredited Agency (ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification Program)

Minimum Qualifications:



1. Work experience managing or directing the activities of the type of business (i.e., restaurant, bowling center, golf course) to be managed.
