2nd Shift


Sunday - Thursday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. (Other days and hours as needed)



Job Summary



  • Maintain all piping systems; troubleshoot, diagnose and make necessary repairs on plumbing related equipment, & hot water systems for McKee Collegedale Facilities.
  • Continually develop technical aptitude and skill expertise in the field of plumbing
  • Fulfill duties as assigned
  • Participate in projects and installations with other departments
  • Work additional hours and days as needed with “on call” requirements.


Required Qualifications



  • Minimum of one year verifiable experience in each of the following:

    • Installing, maintaining, and repairing of different types of high and low-pressure pipe systems, such as water, waste disposal, drainage, and liquid or gas systems
    • Experience with all types of water system piping, plumbing tools, and various types of pipe connection methods
    • Reading building plans/blueprints, lay out the job, and work efficiently with the materials and tools of the trade
    • Installing, repairing, and maintaining; plumbing fixtures, and gas fired hot water systems
    • Working at various heights using ladders & platform lifts
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; team player with the willingness to work with others
  • Demonstrated high level of initiative; self-motivated
  • Knowledge and proficiency with using computers
  • Good safety, work & attendance record
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Able to work flexible hours and extended shifts as needed
  • Must comply with conditions established by Corporate Risk Management to operate Company vehicles
  • Current Lift Truck license and ability to maintain license
  • Must be willing and able to work outdoors throughout the year in all temperature ranges and weather conditions


Preferred Qualifications



  • Five years of experience in industrial & residential Plumbing applications
  • Functional working knowledge of plumbing maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
  • Working knowledge of MAXIMO
  • Two-year degree in industrial mechanical or vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship program
