Position Purpose/Summary: Provide counsel and guidance to supervisors and employees in interpreting HR policies and procedures as well as Federal and State regulations. Provide specialized consultation on employee issues & concerns (employee relations), performance management, and employee discipline issues; serve as a direct point of contact and work closely with leadership to resolve employee complaints, concerns, and other issues; conduct internal investigations and ensure compliance with various federal and state policies and laws. Participate in and manage other HR projects and functions..


Education & Experience: We are open to candidates with diverse backgrounds who have the capability to help up do this work and achieve our mission. The preferred qualifications are as follows: a bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field. Minimum of 5 years directly related experience. HRCI and/or SHRM certification preferred.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Due to the nature of this role in dealing with senior management and a diverse group of employees on an on-going basis, the position requires (and is not limited to):



  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; High level of interpersonal skills to communicate policies, procedures, and objectives effectively throughout the Credit Union
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast past, dynamic environment
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills; Flexibility (able to adapt to changing environment)
  • Effective conflict management abilities
  • Ability to use and/or learn variety of software as required for job/position
  • Positively communicate with diverse employee population while providing excellent customer service
  • Understanding of and adherence to confidentiality; thorough understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws; must be detail-oriented

NOTE: This position's preferred location is Endwell, NY but could also be Reading, PA or Saddlebrook, NJ locations.
